US (Washington Insider) - Erika Kirk will meet Candace Owens on Dec. 15, 2025, to address conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk’s Sept. 10 death. Tyler Robinson, 22-year-old, faces murder charges; Owens previously spread unverified claims.
As Melina Khan on USA Today reported, Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, is set to meet with right-wing commentator Candace Owens on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, for a private discussion. Owens, who once worked at Turning Point USA, the organisation Charlie Kirk co-founded, has drawn criticism from other conservatives for sharing conspiracy theories about Kirk’s death.
Erika Kirk wrote that they
"agreed that public discussions, livestreams, and tweets are on hold until after this meeting."
Erika Kirk added,
"I look forward to a productive conversation."
Owens wrote in response,
"I am very much looking forward to this discussion."

The planned meeting comes amid rising tensions within conservative circles over false claims surrounding Kirk’s death. Both Erika Kirk and Candace Owens confirmed the discussion on social media and said it will be private.
The conversation is expected to address misinformation and the controversies that followed the tragedy. Following Charlie Kirk’s death, Candace Owens used her podcast to promote unverified claims and conspiracy theories regarding the circumstances of his killing.
"There are lies that are being told, and they need to be slapped down right now,"
Owens said in a Sept. 15 episode where she went on to suggest without merit that the government could be covering up information on Kirk's death.
In an interview that aired on Dec. 13, 2025, CBS News reporter Bari Weiss asked Erika Kirk what she would like to say to Candace Owens about the conspiracy theories surrounding her late husband, conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Erika Kirk responded:
"Stop. That's it. That's all I have to say. Stop."
The controversy grew after Blake Neff, a producer for The Charlie Kirk Show, criticised Owens’ claims in a YouTube video on Dec. 3, 2025. Neff also said that a group of Charlie Kirk’s friends would live-stream their response on Dec. 15, 2025. Erika Kirk later announced that the live stream would be postponed to allow for her private meeting with Owens.
"We were brother and sister,"
she said.
"We were fortified. Our relationship was forged in fire - the fire of politics. I knew him. I knew Charlie. The real Charlie. And Charlie knew the real Candace.”
Candace Owens has a long history with Charlie Kirk. In a YouTube video posted on Sept. 11, she said she first met Kirk in 2017 when he was not widely known. Owens said Kirk hired her immediately to work at Turning Point USA, where she served as communications director until 2019.
Charlie Kirk, a prominent conservative figure and supporter of former President Donald Trump, was shot and killed on September 10, 2025, while speaking to students at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old, has been arrested and faces charges of aggravated murder and other serious crimes in connection with the shooting.
