UAE (Washington Insider) - Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli met UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi on December 22, 2025, praising strong Egypt-UAE ties, growing Emirati investments, and ongoing political and economic cooperation.
As the State Information Service reported, on Monday, Dec 22, 2025, Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli emphasised the strong historical and fraternal ties between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates. He made the remarks while meeting UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
Madbouli expressed Egypt’s appreciation for the UAE at the leadership, government, and public levels. He praised the close cooperation between the 2 countries across political, economic, and social fields.

Madbouli also highlighted the ongoing communication and coordination between the political leaderships of Egypt and the UAE. Egypt and the UAE have strong relations for many decades. Their relationship predates the UAE's formation in 1971, with Egypt being a key supporter of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan when he sought to unite the 7 emirates into a single entity.
Over the years, Egypt and the UAE have consistently entered into agreements designed to encourage greater economic cooperation, trade and investment. From the early 1980s through the mid-1990s, specific initiatives were taken to further their economic and commercial ties. Currently, the UAE is one of Egypt's largest investors.
