Egypt (Washington Insider) - Egyptian singer Ramy Sabry performed at The Village opening in Egypt’s Celia, New Administrative Capital, attended by thousands; Carrefour opened with 10% discounts, and Kids Station launched with up to 50% off.
As Daily News Egypt reported, Egyptian singer Ramy Sabry performed for a large crowd on Thursday, Dec 18, 2025, at the opening of “The Village” in the New Administrative Capital’s Celia development. He sang his most popular songs as thousands of fans attended the event. The concert marked the official launch of the area, now called the heart of Celia.
What does the village offer as Egypt’s new lifestyle destination?
The Village will house many international retail stores; office and hospital functions will be housed in the area; there will also be an assortment of entertainment venues. The Village will offer athletes the chance to join a fitness club, view movie content in several theatres, and have fun at several bowling alleys. An outdoor amphitheatre will host live musical performances.
It will contain a manmade lake and will feature restaurants and bars around the surrounding area of the lake.
In conjunction with the opening of “The Village,” the new Carrefour store opened for business in the development. As a special introduction, Carrefour has provided an additional 10% off hundreds of product lines during their initial opening. Today, Carrefour has become one of the largest retail anchors in the area.
Additionally, “Kids Station,” an area focused solely on entertainment for children, began operations. This area provides a wide variety of fun activities for families and children throughout the community. To celebrate their opening, Kids Station is also providing promotional discounts of 50% on various items.
