Riddle & Paoli hospitals named to U.S. News 2026 maternity list
US (Washington Insider) – Riddle and Paoli Hospitals,
part of Main Line Health, made U.S. News 2026 maternity list, offering private
rooms, labor support, breastfeeding help, and high-quality care; 495 hospitals
ranked nationwide.
As David Bjorkgren on Philadelphia Today reported, Riddle
Hospital in Media, Delaware County, has again been named to U.S. News &
World Report’s 2026 Best Hospitals for Maternity Care list. Riddle
Hospital and Paoli Hospital, both part of Main Line Health, have been
recognized for their high-quality maternity care.
The hospital always provides childbirth education classes to
help expectant parents prepare for labor and delivery. Private rooms are
available for mothers and newborns. The hospital also offers immersive Tub
Hydrotherapy during labor. Partners are allowed to stay overnight after
delivery, and midwives are permitted to attend births.
Officials mentioned that Riddle Hospital also focuses on
postnatal care. The hospital provides in-hospital breastfeeding support and
access to lactation consultants both before and after discharge.
What Philadelphia hospitals made U.S. News 2026 maternity
care list?
John George of the Philadelphia Business Journal reports
that the hospital also appeared
on last year’s list. This year, a record 901 hospitals nationwide submitted
maternity data for evaluation. Out of those, 495 hospitals were recognized for
offering high-quality care to mothers and newborns. Riddle Hospital is one of
13 hospitals in the Philadelphia region to make the list.
Several other hospitals that provide maternity services
received the same recognition as other suburban hospitals within the same
region. In addition to Paoli Hospital, the three Jefferson Abington Health (now
part of Jefferson Health East Norriton) and Jefferson Einstein Montgomery
Hospital (also located in East Norriton) were reentered onto the list based on
their maternity services.
The Best Hospitals for Maternity Care list by U.S. News
& World Report first went into effect in 2021, to help future parents
select hospitals that offer the safest and highest quality of maternity care.
The 2026 edition was released on December 9, 2025.
