Trump breaks silence on fallout from bombshell emails
The emails in which the
late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein referred to the president as “the dog that
hasn’t barked” and said he “knew about the girls” he and
co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell were abusing
Trump said in a post on
Truth Social that Democrats in Congress were “doing everything in their
withering power” to “push” what he referred to as “the
Epstein Hoax” as a diversion from “all of their bad policies and losses.”
Along with criticizing
“weak Republicans” for having “fallen into their clutches
because they are soft and foolish”.
He also claimed that the
demand that his administration release case files from the FBI’s investigation
into the late sex offender should be aimed at a group of Democratic leaders who
have no official position in the federal government.
“Epstein was a Democrat,
and he is the Democrat’s problem, not the Republican’s problem! Ask Bill
Clinton, Reid Hoffman, and Larry Summers about Epstein, they know all about
him, don’t waste your time with Trump. I have a Country to run!”
he added.
Which lawmakers have called for investigations after the release?
After the release of the stunner emails related to Jeffrey
Epstein’s estate, several lawgivers have called for examinations. The drive for
translucency and farther delving was backed by all House Egalitarians along
with many Republicans, including Representatives Thomas Massie, Lauren Boebert,
and Marjorie Taylor Greene. They support legislative sweats to force the
release of affiliated documents and pursue congressional examinations around
the matter.
These lawgivers have expressed demands for lesser responsibility
and further scrutiny into the extent of connections between public numbers and
Epstein’s network, emphasizing bipartisan concern despite differing political
views.
The call for examinations after the Epstein emails release has
been led by House Egalitarians and supported by some Republicans including
Massie, Boebert, and Greene among others, prompting full translucency through
legislative and congressional inquiry.
