Qatar PHCC to open 21 centres for National Day with 24-hour care
Qatar (Washington Insider) – PHCC in Qatar announced 21
health centres open on Dec 18, on National Day, for family, dental, and
speciality care; 13 centres offer 24-hour urgent services, pediatric care at 7
centres, with support via Call Centre 16000.
As The Peninsula reported, the Primary Health Care
Corporation (PHCC) in Qatar announced that 21 of its 31 health centres will
stay open during the National Day holiday on Thursday, December 18. The centres
will provide family medicine and other supporting services from 7:00 a.m. to
11:00 p.m. Dental services will be available from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The health centres open during the holiday include Al Wakra,
Al Mashaf, Al Thumama, Airport, Rawdat Al Khail, Omar bin Al Khattab, Al Sadd,
West Bay, Al Ruwais, Al Khor, Leabaib, Umm Slal, Gharafa Al Rayyan, Khalifa
City, Abu Baker Al Siddiq, Al Rayyan, Mesaimeer, Muaither, Al Sheehaniya, and
Al Wajbah. Al Jumailiya Health Centre will also operate on a 24-hour on-call
basis to serve urgent cases throughout the holiday.
What PHCC centres will be open during Qatar’s National Day
holiday?
Several centres will remain closed for regular services
during the holiday. These include South Wakra, Umm Ghuwailina, Al Waab, Abu
Nakhla, Umm Al Seneem, Al Ghuwayriyah, Al Dhaayen, and Qatar University Health
Centres. Meanwhile, Al Kaaban and Al Karaana Health Centres will only handle
urgent adult cases.
PHCC stressed that its plan ensures continuous access to
health services during the National Day holiday. Residents are encouraged to
visit the operational centres for routine care or urgent medical needs.
The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) will provide
24-hour urgent care services during the National Day holiday at 13 health
centres across Qatar. These centres are Gharrafat Al Rayan, Al Sheehaniya, Abu
Baker Al Siddiq, Rawdat Al Khail, Al Kaaban, Al Karaana, Al Ruwais, Umm Slal,
Leabaib, Muaither, Al Mashaf, Al Sadd, and Al Wajbah. Residents can visit any
of these centres at any time for urgent medical care.
In addition, seven health centres, Al Ruwais, Umm Slal,
Leabaib, Muaither, Al Mashaf, Al Sadd, and Al Waibah, will accept urgent
pediatric cases to ensure children receive timely treatment. PHCC also said
that speciality clinics will operate during the holiday based on pre-scheduled
appointments, covering both the morning and evening periods.
Several specialised services will also be available.
Ophthalmology, dermatology, and Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) clinics will
operate at Leabaib and Rawdat Al Khail health centres from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00
p.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Premarital screening services will be available at Leabaib
Health Centre from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and at Al Mashaf Health Centre from
4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Residents can also access 24-hour medical consultation
services through the Community Call Centre at 16000.
